| FOUNDATION --> Mission and aims
The Handicapped Children Aid Foundation HIPOTERAPIA began
its activities in November 1992,. It is registered in the Regional Court for
the capitol Warsaw under number KRS 91766.
The Foundation was established by a group of people, who since
1988 have lead therapeutic horse riding lessons for handicapped children, mainly
for children with cerebral palsy.
The Foundations mission is striving for social integration
of handicapped children and youth and assuring them their rights.
The Foundations aims are:

Assisting the handicapped children, chiefly by means
of conducting hippotherapy,

Supporting and propagating hippotherapy as a rehabilitation
method in some child and youth illnesses,

Perfecting of the hippotherapeutists' knowledge and
skills,

care for the safety and hygiene of the hippotherapeutic
sessions
Among the staff that is participating in fulfilling the
Foundation's aims are doctors, rehabilitation instructors, psychologists, educators,
educators-specialists, instructors of hypotherapy and horse riding and social
workers - mainly parents of the handicapped children, who believe that the development
of hippotherapy is also a way to help their children
.
